My windows xp was wiped when my computer crashed. Though i reinstalled it i now have no sound drivers ...I have tried numerous sites where they claim to have freed drivers but they end up charging you.
Turn on Windows Updates, check through device manager and note down the name of ddownload sound drivers windows xpevice manufacurer and download updated driver from manfacturer's websites. In addition to it run Reginout scan to avoid from such crashes. Thanks
Try looking at the manufacturer's website. Or just use the drivers disk that should have come with your computer.

Not all hardware are the same, meaning you'll need to download drivers to that especific driver...
Try downloading these, its free, and most of the computers use it.
