Back in high school, I took an art class using illustration programs on computer.
We did basic animation, 3D landscapes, videos and illustrated a number of things. We used Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, video editing software just to name a few.
We would use the stylus pens on graphics tablets. I enjoyed sketching on them and seeing the decently realistic sketching on the computer screen.
I've been thinking about getting this for use at home, but the price of the software is expensive. 300 to 1000 bucks for Photoshoptablet pc freeware! And I'm afraid of checking to see the price of Adobe Illustrator. But the stylus and tablet combos seem decently priced.
So, are there any decent freeware programs that work as well as or better than the latest versions of Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop?
Also, is there any particular model of tablet/stylus combo that you would recommend?
My PC is pretty decent and its hardware is great, so no worries on the system requirements for the programs.
