I am surprised that people recommend something like AVG, which I feel is Virus in Disguise. Please suggest some safe anti-virus free software.
i myself have tried many anti viruses for years and i think that kaspersky is the best anti virus going on right now . Others then Norton is also a good one and even Nod32 .

but if you don't want to use a crack version download avast home.
and avg free version is not a virus but it cant find a lot of virus and it makes your system slow.
personally i am using kaspersky for a long time.and i am really satisfied with it.a reabest free anti virus softwarel value for money.
i have tried most of the free anti-virus and i have found avira to be very good and now am using the new avast free....it has the most approval and awarded the most stars......the new microsoft is also very good if u want to try that also...very lean and most automatic of them all...u just install and kinda forget it

AVG is not a virus in disguise. But, you will get different answers from different people. Generally Avira, Avast, AVG, and Panda Cloud are the most common free recommendations. I personally prefer Trend Micro Internet Security (but it costs money).
Try Avast or Avira. I have used both and found them equally good. Avast has a few more features than Avira. Like shields and boot time scanning.
